In 1646, Sor Juana, a noted writer in Mexico talked about some returnee Conquistadors that had been up in the San Diego California area on an expedition.  One of Sor Juana's patrons was a Gonzaga.  Shortly after that, just like the great writers with great imaginations of her time, Sor Juana wrote about the Choiseul Rancho that existed at today's National City, Bonita, and Chula Vista.

She alternatively placed Phillip 3 Intelligence Headquarters at Point Loma (She may have meant Phillip 3's exhibit from intelligence out to be put there).

She saved the best for last, however, working with the Conquistadors to create a Sweetwater river puzzle that led to the now extinct male line Gonzaga families exhibits.

The Sweetwater river challenge was to find the exact spot in the river where the Sweetwater ended and the salty San Diego bay river started.  Using that measurement, you could then insert it into something Gonzaga wrote and start to understand Gonzaga's Italian Soda recipe.

Once you understand the Italian soda recipe, it shows Gonzaga's Roman ancestry and a supposed secret that most people would want to know. In the coming weeks, we'll post the details on what people were using as their base to develop that
